The licence, in plain words.
You are buying a licence to use the software, not the software itself — which is standard, and the rest of this explains exactly what that means in practice.

What the licence covers
A perpetual, non-exclusive licence to install and use Chroma on up to two machines that you personally use, for commercial and personal work alike. There is no cap on how many projects you grade, no royalty on what you deliver, and no restriction on the size of the client.

Version 2, and what happens after it
Your purchase covers version 2 and every point release within it. If there is a version 3 it will be a paid upgrade at a fair price for existing owners. We will not convert Chroma to a subscription — a number of people bought it specifically because we said that, and we consider it binding.

What you may not do
Share your licence key, resell or sublicense the plugin, redistribute the preset files as your own product, or decompile the software. Using it on a machine belonging to an employer is fine; installing it across a studio on one key is not — email us and we will quote a studio licence rather than pretend not to notice.

The academy and its files
Course videos are for your own learning and are not to be re-hosted or shown as part of a paid course of your own. The project files are yours to use in commercial work without restriction — grade them, cut them into showreels, whatever is useful.

Refunds
Thirty days from purchase, no questions asked, and you keep any course files you have already downloaded. We would rather refund you than have somebody using a tool they dislike. Refunds are to the original payment method and take about five working days.

The community
Access comes with the bundle and stays for as long as your licence is valid. We can remove somebody for harassment, spam or reselling other members' work, and we will tell you why. Your posts remain yours; we do not claim any licence to reuse them commercially.

What we do not promise
That Chroma will suit every camera profile, every host version, or every workflow. Host applications change and occasionally break plugins; when that happens we fix it as fast as we reasonably can, but we cannot guarantee a timescale. Try the watermarked trial before buying — it is the full plugin precisely so you can find out.

Limits of liability
Our liability is limited to what you paid for the licence. We are not liable for lost work, missed deadlines or consequential loss — keep backups and render tests, as you would with any tool in the chain. Nothing here limits liability for death, personal injury or fraud.

Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
